Engineering the Vision Behind Cities of the Future IMAX Movie

In March, the American Society of Civil Engineers will have just debuted its second IMAX movie—Cities of the Future. David Odeh will take the stage at ENR's Emerging Leaders Forum to talk about his work on the ASCE technical team advising famed IMAX director Greg MacGillivray on the engineering reality underlying the film's computer-generated imagery (CGI). The movie brings ASCE's Future World Vision concepts to the giant screen and shows how the research for the project exploring the possibilities of city life in 2070 is based on cutting edge projects of today. Odeh will screen a clip from Cities of the Future and explain the Virtual Reality experience that attendees can have in the Future World Vision booth in the event exhibit area.
